Number 1: Large Fish To Snap Up For Lunch In The Pantanal
A caiman lays on a river bottom waiting for large fish to snap up for lunch in the Pantanal, a huge freshwater marsh in #Brazil. The hunting of these crocodilians was regulated years ago, and the species is doing quite well now.

Number 2: Like a box of jellybeans:
On assignment in Cambodia, I came across Birdwing chrysalises that litter a tray with their colors dependent on the foliage they ate as caterpillars.

Number 3: The highest drop of this incredible feature measures over 570 feet
A view of the breathtaking #multnomahfalls outside #Portland, #Oregon. The highest drop of this incredible feature measures over 570 feet (165m). Just a short drive from The city, a series of paved trails allow visitors to easily explore the surrounding area.

Number 4: The Scottish islands of the Hebrides
The Scottish islands of the Hebrides have all my thoughts right now. Places like Boreray that night when thousands of Gannets came out to greet us just as a flash of flash of sunset light lit up the towering cliffs. My mind keeps drifting back to my travels in the Hebrides Islands because for the next three nights I’m in concerts with the New West Symphony in the Los Angeles area for performances of Felix Mendelssohn’s beautiful and haunting Hebrides Overture. He was only 19 years old when he went to the islands and visited Fingal’s Cave on Staffa. My photographic journey parallels the sights the young composer would have seen in his journey of 1827, the sights that inspired this image-laden music. This music was always an inspiration for me ever since my first days of photography back in grade school.

Number 5: The Great Barrier Reef Australia
A float plane carrying scuba divers soars across Hook and Hardy Reef on the Great Barrier Reef Australia, the worlds largest and iconic coral reef system. The #GreatBarrierReef stretches 1400 miles off #Australia #Queensland Coast. It is the largest single formation created by a living organism: the coral polyp. The barrier reef is a #UNESCO #WorldHeritageSite and like many other reef systems it is threatened by coral bleaching, ocean acidification, port expansions and development.

Number 6: The Farmer is Carrying Grasses
This farmer is carrying grasses for his animals in Darjeeling, West Bengal, India. Darjeeling, a former hill station, produces black tea grown on plantations, which is prized by tea aficionados around the world. It is also known for the "Toy Train" , a narrow gauge railway, built in the late nineteenth century.

Number 7: thin blue line, Canadian
What lies beneath that “thin blue line”? What separates what we know from the mysteries below. This is the question I have been trying to answer with my work and photography over the past 25 years. Not everyone gets to look beneath the waves and into the deep and it is our mission to bring the ocean to everyone. Please #followme on @paulnicklen and @sea_legacy as we continue to take you beneath the waves and into a world that we love. With @cristinamittermeier. This is also the lead image in the climate change special of @natgeo this month. The most important topic of our time.

Number 8: Robbie Shone - At sunrise in Switzerland
The distant mountain peaks that overlook the Gorner glacier here in Switzerland light up with a hot hat, signalling warmer times and the end of the night. The evening temperatures frequently drop well below freezing, which is perfect if you're exploring moulins and glacier caves and need the water to freeze. Personally, I'll be pleased when the sun gets a little higher.

Number 9: Land of the Vikings...and unbelievable trekking!
Another image from my Iceland collection. Landmannalaugar shot from a helicopter. This region consists of mind boggling amounts of geological elements making some of it amazingly colorful. Follow me on @mattiasklumofficial to see more icelandic landscapes and some of the world's coolest places to go trekking!

Number 10: There is nothing like waking up in the morning to find
You are above the clouds. View from home here in the central highlands of Ethiopia #onassignment for nat geo magazine. I'm @tbfrost if you want to see more behind the scenes
